Dr. KH. Ahmad Munif Suratmaputra, MA

The Chairman of Sharia Supervisory Board

An Indonesian citizen, was born in Semarang on November 19th, 1952. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree from Institute of Al-Quran Studies (PTIQ), Faculty of Sharia, majoring in Muamalah (1992) and from State Institute of Islamic Studies (IAIN) Jakarta, in the same faculty and major (1982). He also obtained a Master’s and Doctorate Degree from IAIN, respectively in 1992 and 1998, with concentration in Fiqih and Ushul Fiqih/Philosophy of Islamic Law. 

Ahmad Munif Suratmaputra had attended Daurah Alamsyah in Al-Azhar University, Egypt, representing Indonesia (1995).

Ahmad Munif Suratmaputera was appointed as the Chairman of Sharia Supervisory Board (DPS) of PT Bank Panin Syariah Tbk based on the result of Extraordinary GMS dated August 9th, 2009 and in accordance with DPS Letter of Appointment from Financial Services Authority (FSA) dated April 13th, 2010. Moreover, based on the results on Annual GMS dated April 24th, 2015 and dated April 19th, 2016, he was reappointed as the Chairman of DPS.

At present, he is holding several key positions, such as:
- Member of Central MUI (Indonesian Ulema Council) Fatwa Commission since 1985.
- The Chairman DPS Trust Finance Indonesia since 2004.
- Member of DPS at PT Asuransi Bintang, Tbk, Sharia Unit, since 2005.
- Rector Assistant/ Academic Department of Institute of Al-Quran Studies (IIQ), Jakarta, since 2005.
- Head of Modern Islamic Boarding School (Pesantren) Depok, since 1990.
- Lecturer of undergraduate (since 1985) and graduate (since 2005) programs at IIQ, Jakarta.
- Lecturer at the Faculty of Medical Science in Syarif Hidayatullah Islamic University, Jakarta since 2013.
- Director of graduate programs at IIQ Jakarta, since 2014.

Previously, he had also held several positions, such as:
- Head of Academic/ Teaching Department of IIQ Jakarta (1982 – 2009)
- Scientific Secretary of IIQ Rector (1982 – 1990)
- Head of Scientific Studies and Research Insititution (LPPI) of IIQ (1984 – 1987)
- Dean of Faculty of Sharia at IIQ (1994 – 1997)
- Rector Assistant I / Academic Department of IIQ (1994 – 1997)
- Dean of Faculty of Ushuludin at IIQ (1997 – 2001)
- Lecturer at Indonesia Development University ( 1985 -1989)
- Lecturer at Institute/College of Al-Quran Studies (PTIQ), Jakarta (1987 – 2000)

Drs. H. Aminudin Yakub, MA

Member of Sharia Supervisory Board

An Indonesian citizen, was born in Bekasi on February 14, 1971. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree from Faculty of Tarbiyah, State Institute of Islamic Studies (UIN) Syarif Hidayatullah in Jakarta, in 1994. He also obtained a Master’s degree in Religion Studies, in the field of Islamic Studies in UIN Syarif Hidayatullah, Jakarta, in 1997.

He is currently in the process of completing his dissertation to obtain his Doctorate Degree in the field of Islamic Studies in UIN Syarif Hidayatullah, Jakarta.

Aminuddin Yakub was appointed as member of Sharia Supervisory Board (DPS) of Panin Bank Syariah based on the result of Extraordinary GMS dated August 3rd, 2009 and in accordance with DPS Letter of Appointment from Financial Services Authority (FSA) dated April 13th, 2010.

Moreover, based on the result of Annual GMS dated April 24th, 2015 and dated April 19th, 2016, he was reappointed as a member of DPS.

Aside from serving as a member of DPS of PT Bank Panin Syariah Tbk, he is currently holding several positions, among others:
- Vice Secretary / Member of Central MUI (Indonesian Ulema Council)
  Fatwa Commission since 2000.
- Member of DPS at Tripakarna Sharia Insurance since 2002.
- Member of DPS at PT Federal International Finance since 2004.
- Lecturer at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah since 2006.
- Head of Islamic Education Foundation of “Baitul Muttaqin” since 2012.
- Member of DPS at PT Astra Sedaya Finance since 2012.
- Member of Implementing Agency of National Sharia Board (BPH DSN) of MUI since 2007.

Previously, he had served as:
- Lecturer at Darunnajah Sharia Studies Institute (STISDA), Jakarta (1996–2002).
- Lecturer at Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB) (1997-2000).
- Member of MUI National Sharia Board Plennary (2004–2007).
